This is the web site of Toronto Triumph Club© (the “Club”). The Club is a dedicated community united by a common interest in the Triumph automobile marque. The Club was founded in October 1982 with the principal goal to “Preserve and Drive the Triumph.”
We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy and hold all personal data of members confidential and will not share such information with third parties, other than as necessary to cooperate with law enforcement authorities pursuant to a warrant or subpoena. Similarly, personal data of other individuals may be required for registering guests for events etc., and such information gathered will be treated in the same way as for Club members. This Policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed, and maintained by us. We are a not-for-profit organisation which uses the personal data which we hold to service our membership and provide activities for members, only sharing the information with people who are carrying out the Club's business.
The Members-Only portion of the website is open only to current Active Club members and is expressly limited for the personal use of the members and is the copyrighted property of the Club. The site may contain other copyrighted material which is used by permission. The membership website is not used in any other manner such as for mass mailing, commerce or any other purpose not expressly authorized by the Club’s Executive Board in writing and is not to be distributed nor to be sold at any time for any use contrary to this Policy.
To provide membership in the Club and for the provision of certain services or merchandise, we need to know your name, mailing address, e-mail address, telephone number and at times, other personal information which can be used by Club officers or authorised agents for official Club business. This use includes, but is not limited to, mailing the Club’s magazine “Ragtop”, use of member’s e-mail addresses for transmittal of official Club business, including electronic newsletters or messages and use of address and telephone information for inclusion in a Club membership directory.
The Club does not condone the use of mass mailing methods (a.k.a. spam). The Club does not keep nor maintain any personal financial information of its members. Electronic payments to the Club are made through secure, accredited, third party organizations (e.g. AffinityPay or PayPal ). The Club officers or representatives will not request passwords or financial information via email (a.k.a. phishing).
This website contains links to other websites of interest. If you use one of these links to leave this website, be aware that we do not have any control over other websites or how they may use your personal information.
Members may access all information on record in the membership database through the Members-Only portal and may, from time-to-time, change the privacy level under which their information is held.
The Club, its officers and directors cannot be held liable for the unauthorized or illegal use of private information however obtained. This would include, but not be limited to “hacking” electronic theft and conversion.
We reserve the right to update this Policy as needed without notice.
